Q: Everytime I download a contact into my Outlook 2000 address book, I get a prompt with the following message: "A program is trying to access e-mail addresses you have stored in Outlook. Do you want to allow this?" What is the cause of this prompt?

A: This prompt is in response to the large number of viruses which target your Address Book. You will see this message when Infotriever attempts to update information you have downloaded via Infotriever. This message is only precautionary, and in no way does Infotriever inflict damage on your Address Book, nor does Infotriever send emails to anyone in your address book without your specific request. As the prompt indicates, you should select 'Yes' if you would like Infotriever to download or update information in your Address Book.

Q: I use Word as an e-mail editor for my Outlook. When I try to insert LiveContact™ to my existing e-mail signature, it doesn't work. What do I do?

A: A LiveContact™ cannot be inserted automatically if you are using Word as an e-mail editor. To insert your LiveContact™, simply copy and paste it.

Q: I use Outlook for e-mail, and my LiveContact™ is not appearing when I reply or forward e-mails?

A: You can set this feature through Outlook by going to Tools>Options>Mail Format.  Under Signature, uncheck the "Don't use when replying or forwarding" box.

Q: How do I remove my LiveContact from my e-mail signature in Outlook?

A:

  • In Outlook, click Options on the Tools menu. A tabbed dialog will appear.
  • Click the General tab.
  • Click E-mail Options.
  • Click the E-mail Signature tab.
  • Under Type the title of your e-mail signature or choose from the list, click the signature you want to edit.
  • Click on Edit.
  • Remove the Infotriever part of your email signature.
