LiveContactTM - Your Personalized Electronic Business Card!
1. What is a LiveContact?
An Infotriever LiveContact is your personal electronic business card - containing whatever information you choose to enter and share with others.

2. What does a LiveContact do?
Once you set up your LiveContact, you can include it in your emails, put it on your business cards, or simply provide it to people as you see fit. Anyone who receives your LiveContact can download your contact information into their address book, and get updated automatically when you change your information! You can track how many people have your information and automatically exchange contact information with other LiveContact holders!
3. How do I create my own Infotriever LiveContact?
Note: If you already have a LiveContact (i.e. http://my.infotriever.com/<yourlink>), you may want to consider animating your LiveContact (see 4. Animate Your LiveContact below).
A. Choose a link that you will distribute to others via your email signature. (For example, the LiveContact for Infotriever Support, is http://my.infotriever.com/infotrieversupport)
In Part B, uncheck the box to add this link to your email signature if you wish to create a dynamic signature. If you would like to use a text-only link, leave this box checked.
B. Enter the contact information that you would like others to be able to instantly download to their address books.
Congratulations, you have now created your LiveContact!
To test your LiveContact, simply type http://my.infotriever.com/<yourlink> into your browser, and download your own information into your address book.
4. Animate your LiveContact.
Note: To start this setup, you will need your Infotriever LiveContact (i.e. http://my.infotriever.com/<yourlink>). If you DO NOT have your Infotriever LiveContact, please follow the instructions set out in Step 3 above before proceeding.
These instructions will allow you to have a dynamic image in your signature file for use with Microsoft(R) Outlook(R) (all versions), similar to the one shown at right:

- Using the top menu, select Tools -> Folder Options.
- From the popup menu select the View Tab, and under 'Hidden Files and Folders' select the "Show hidden files and folders" radio button.

- From this menu, select "Edit", then "Advanced Edit" to add your contact information.
- Note: Select "Yes" on the 'external editor' alert if prompted.
|
E. Edit the generic fields with your proper contact information.
