What Is Infotriever?

Infotriever is a Software as a Service that automatically delivers and updates events from Infotriever-enabled partners directly into desktop calendars such as Microsoft Outlook and Lotus Notes, and through sync into mobile devices and smartphones such as Blackberry and iPhone. Our service has been used by hundreds of thousands of users in thousands of companies since 2000, and has been implemented and used in many leading corporations all over the world.

Who should use Infotriever?

You will derive the most benefit from Infotriever if you:

  • Use a desktop organizer such as Microsoft® Outlook®, Lotus Notes®, or other supported organizers (see system requirements, below);
  • Use a smartphone or mobile device with an integrated calendar;

You can use Infotriever with any Infotriever-enabled partners, although the specific application may vary. Feel free to contact us to find out how you can use Infotriever with any specific partner.

How can I get a company or website I visit to use Infotriever?

Infotriever is a customer service enhancement that most people would say makes their lives easier (our user surveys have shown that 90% of users have a very high or high level of overall satisfaction, and 96% prefer to use a service that uses Infotriever). In fact, we like to think of Infotriever as a standard of excellence in Internet customer service. However, as compelling as these results may be, we have found that companies really respond best to their own (existing) customers. If you want to see a website or company using Infotriever, our best recommendation is to contact them (typically through an email address such as feedback@companyname.com) and let them know. How can I get our company to use Infotriever?

We can provide your system administrator with a SysAdmin installer which will enable him/her to certify the Infotriever desktop software and deploy it to an unlimited number of users within your company.

Can my executive assistant use Infotriever for me?

Yes, we have a special feature called ExecAssist™ that is designed specifically for busy executives and executive assistants (and travel arrangers). ExecAssist enables your executive assistant to deliver your events and contacts into your organizer for you.

What are Infotriever’s system requirements?

Infotriever provides both a fully seamless and automated method of delivery with automatic updating, called Infotriever Executive, and an automated method of delivery called Infotriever Business.

Infotriever Executive’s system requirements are:

  • Calendar: Microsoft Outlook 2007 / 2003 / XP (2002) / 2000 or Lotus Notes 8.x / 7.x / 6.x / 5.5+
  • Browser: Internet Explorer 8.0 / 7.0 / 6.0 / 5.5 or Firefox 3.5 / 3.0 / 2.0 / 1.5
  • Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 / Vista / XP / 2000

The systems requirements for Infotriever Business are:

  • Calendar: Microsoft Outlook, Lotus Notes, Mac iCal, Microsoft Entourage, Novell Groupwise 8.x, and
    numerous other calendaring programs
  • Browser: Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, Opera, and most browsers
  • Operating System: Microsoft Windows, Mac, and Linux

Infotriever Executive requires a small Infotriever desktop client software application to be installed on your desktop. This software may be installed from our website, in the course of your first use with any Infotriever-enabled partner, or deployed by your company’s system administrator using the Infotriever SysAdmin installer (see our overview for System Administrators). Infotriever Business does not require any additional software, other than the system requirements outlined above.

How does Infotriever protect my privacy?

We care about your privacy. Our privacy policy is TRUSTe-certified, and we are a member in good standing of BBBOnline. We have never, and will never, share or sell personal information without user consent (unless we are compelled to by law). Furthermore, we don’t spam, and we contain no spyware of any form. The Infotriever desktop client software itself is provided at no charge. The Infotriever service of delivering and automatically updating events in the calendar may or may not carry a nominal fee, depending on the site from which it is offered.
