What is Infotriever?
Infotriever is a Software as a Service that automatically delivers and updates events from Infotriever-enabled partners directly into desktop calendars such as Microsoft Outlook and Lotus Notes, and through sync into mobile devices and smartphones such as Blackberry and iPhone. Our service has been used by hundreds of thousands of users in thousands of companies since 2000, and has been implemented and used in many leading corporations all over the world. In order to provide the most seamless level of service, Infotriever requires a small desktop client software application to be installed on users’ desktops. The Infotriever client desktop software may be self-installed by the user, or deployed by you using Infotriever’s SysAdmin installer.

We are concerned about security and have a very restrictive firewall. How can we enable Infotriever for our users?
Infotriever uses 128-bit encryption and is used in thousands of companies worldwide, including security-conscious organizations as investment banks, governmental organizations, and defense contractors. How does Infotriever protect our users’ privacy?
Our business depends on protecting user privacy. Our privacy policy is TRUSTe-certified, and we are a member in good standing of BBBOnline. We have never, and will never, share or sell personal information without user consent (with the usual exception for legal requirements). How can I deploy Infotriever within our company?
There are two ways to deploy Infotriever to users: 1) individual user download; or 2) SysAdmin installer for multiple users in corporate environments.
Individual User: Any individual user can download the Infotriever desktop software, or the software will automatically install on demand when attempting to download Infotriever-enabled information from an Infotriever partner website or email. Please note that individual or corporate subscriptions may be required in order to use the Infotriever service from some websites and services.
Multiple Users: Follow the instructions in the Infotriever Corporate Deployment Guide to certify the Infotriever desktop software, and deploy it to an unlimited number of users within your company.
What rights are required to install Infotriever?
Generally, the following rights and permissions are required for individuals to install Infotriever on their computers:
- the ability to create directories and files under the default Windows Program Files folder;
- the ability to create registry entries;
- the permission to install web browser plugins (ActiveX for Internet Explorer and Netscape browser plugin for Netscape).
The SysAdmin installer allows for installation under User profile, and enables the System Administrator to specify the install folder.
